We are running face-to-face, half-day workshops for primary age and teen writers during the April school holidays in Hunters Hill and Avalon Beach! Come and join the writing fun.
All workshops will run across two sessions. They are designed to give writers the opportunity to be inspired, grow and plan their ideas during the first session then return the following week to write and publish their stories.
Our Hunters Hill workshops will cater for young writers in Years 3-6 and for teen writers in in Years 7-10. These workshops will run across two sessions Tuesday 15th and 22nd April.
The Story Safari is the ultimate animal adventure writing workshop, suitable for writers in Years 3-6 and will run 9:00 am-12 noon Tuesday 15th and 22 April. Do you ever wonder what a dragon’s day looks like? Or what your pet might do if they had magical powers? In this fun and interactive workshop, writers aged 8-12 will create thrilling stories about everything from mythical creatures and jungle beasts to their favorite pets and wild animals.
The Creative Cafe is a teen writing workshop where ideas flow easily. Over two chill sessions 2:00pm- 5:00pm Tuesday 15th and 22 April, you’ll dive into discovery writing, letting your creativity run wild with fun prompts and guided exercises. Then, you'll shape those ideas into a short story, learning how to craft characters, build tension, and bring your words to life. These workshops are suitable for writers in Years 7-10.
Our Avalon Beach workshops will be hosted by Bookoccino. We are thrilled to be invited to run two sessions of The Magic Pen from 10am-12noon on Wednesday 16th and 23rd April in the Avalon Creative Space. Did you know your pen holds the power to bring entire worlds to life? ✨ Grab your magical pen and embark on an unforgettable writing journey! In this adventure-packed workshop, you'll uncover the incredible stories hiding inside your imagination. These workshops are suitable for writers in Years 3-6. Bookings are open!
